Category 4 pyrotechnics (abbreviated as F4) is the highest category of pyrotechnic products intended for holders of a fireworks operator's license. These products can have a very high level of danger and contain powerful explosive and pyrotechnic compounds, intended for use at large cultural or sports events or pyrotechnic experiments. The use of F4 products is usually regulated by special laws and regulations.
